Logis Hôtel Emeraude

The receptionist, and bar person was very friendly, welcomed me with my bad French, with her great English and helped me with the storage of my bicycle. Hotels are rare on the EuroVelo3 (Scandiberique) in this region so I was glad of a clean and airy room with a comfortable bed, a fine vegetarian pizza in the hotel restaurant along with a comprehensive breakfast to prepare me for a 70ks ride to Chauvigny via EV3. Rooms, linen and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Good size bedroom. Well equipped bathroom. Lovely views over the river. Good central location. Parking outside on the road was pretty easy and free. Friendly staff made us feel welcome (although limited English speakers but that's half the fun of travelling). There's a bar that opens onto the street which was nice to sit outside and have a drink at.

Nice restaurant with good food, service and prices. Large room and decent shower. The staff were friendly and helful. Good location

The bed was really comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel has a restaurant atrached which serves typical French food and the service there was friendly. My room was at the back, with a nice view of the river and bridge. I'm surprised it's only 2-star. It deserves more.
